Road Sign Bingo, my first public iOS app release since 2013, is a game that turns everyday road trips into a scavenger hunt. You get a 5x5 bingo card filled with real road signs. As you spot them out the window, you tap them on your card. Get five in a row and you win!

You can play on iPhone and iPad. Techinically I have seen it run on macOS 26.4. Though not required, you will want to enable location data while playing. As you tap a sign that you’ve seen the app marks the location on the map. When you hit bingo you can view the map seeing where you started, the signs you saw along your journey, and the finish point!

As a parent, or teacher, Road Sign Bingo on the settings view allows you to print a bingo card for the trip. Using this feature you hand out bingo cards. No one has to be left out of the fun!

There is an easy mode that is enabled by default; Easy mode is a collection of signs one may encounter on an average day. Also in the collection are signs that kids may not easily encounter, but would be excited to see like a Moose, an Elk, a Bear, and a Horse as well as others.

Turn off the easy mode and things get a little more challenging offering boards built from 587 signs gathered from the the Federal Highway Administration. If you find a sign that is harder to read on a small screen, you can long press on the sign and it will display in a larger view.

I hope you and your kids enjoy Road Sign Bingo! If you do, please help spread the word about it with other parents, teachers, and kids.

Thanks, Wayne.
